VARIETY

Today, it's cold, windy, dark out even though only early afternoon. But, you know what, not bothering the many variety of birds I see out my window. There are gold crowned sparrows, house sparrows, stellar jays, huge crows (big as house cats), chickadees, hummingbirds and dark-eyed juncos! And that's only in my front yard!!
Even when nothing else is going on, these beautiful creatures give me such a treat, displaying God's splendor and His wonderful sense of creativity. Have you ever looked at just how many patterns He came up with, It's amazing! There are no two species alike yet there must be thousands, maybe tens of thousands of species.  I have not researched the numbers on this yet. But I will.
The hummingbirds buzz past my window, sometimes hovering to "see what I might be doing", the gold crowned sparrows and juncos hop around all over seeking anything they might eat---I feed them, but it's hard to keep up.
Stellar Jays chase off all the other birds to keep the food for themselves--such greedy birds. Crows are very patient and calm. Nothing startles them. I had one walk right alongside of me one day when walking to work. I would walk and then stop and talk with him and he would stop and wait for me. I know, hard to believe but oh so true!  I just call him "Mr. Crow".
I wouldn't recommend walking under the telephone wires when they are perched up there, though--hahaha.
You know, every day is a blessing from God when I can see His creatures.

Walk of Wonder

After work, I went for a walk in the sunshine. Down to our park nearby, I first spotted a crow perched high atop a pine tree, looking down at me and on the world. Although, I was half-way down the road, I turned and took his pic. Crows are such stately birds.

I continued my journey to the park. Next, I saw a Northern Flicker. He was on the path next to the park, eating whatever was available. These are very royal-looking birds.
I headed to the ocean, and what did I see above my head, again?  Just two female starlings in another pine--they can be such pests, but are such beautiful birds, with designs only God could or would create.

I also saw a small bird (not sure which kind) perched high on a wire---but of course as I got closer, he moved further away!!
I also saw tiny, still bunny, brown in color, looks so soft, want to reach down and "pet" him, but didn't dare scare him away.
Aren't God Creatures so beautiful and special, here to keep "us" company?
Of course, since I was at the ocean, I was fortunate to "catch" several seagulls in my lens---yeah!!!

What do you think of this one?? I love it!!! This little guy braving the "birds" and the surf.

As always, must return home, after my walk with nature.

God Bless all who took the time to read this blog. I enjoy photography and writing so much.
Look to the "One" who cares for you.
